Plenary conference 2009
"Identity in a wholly digital age. Is regulation unnecessary? What has happened to ethics?"
Information system access authentication management is manifestly automated. Directories, advanced profiles, role management and IAM (Identity and Access Management) technology enable high access automation and exact monitoring of use and users and their computer behaviour.
But what is an identity actually worth in this automated environment? Have we brought together the proper elements? What about the ethics of identity and use management and control of compliance?
Have we not been rather too quick to forget guarantees of individual freedoms when recording details of our users, those we provide with access and our profiles?
The plenary conference of the 2009 Congress will offer a unique opportunity for study in our busy schedules.
We will examine the implications of IAM and digital privacy management. Does advanced electronic monitoring have its ethics? Do we need to have the complete status of users to provide them with access to a treatment system? Are classification criteria compatible with personal privacy rights?
Speakers :
- Alex Türk, Chair of the CNIL (National Commission for IT and Liberties), Senator of the Nord region
- Serge Tisseron, Psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, Director of Research at the University of Paris X Nanterre
- Paul- Olivier Gibert, Chair of the AFCDP (French Association of Correspondents for the Protection of Data of a Personal Nature)
