Regulatory standards, budgetary constraints and impossible projects have become the daily fare of the security guy. Whether an information security officer, data processing director, chief information officer or an information system manager, that’s a big load for one person to bear.
Fortunately, although he’s alone against the world most of the time, the security guy can take advantage of the Congress to recharge his batteries through experiences and networking, all in the exclusive locale that is Monaco.
The not-to-be-missed annual meeting of the security community, the Congress has been the place to be for discussions among information security officers for the past nine years. For them, the conferences and round tables explore the trends of the coming year and bring them up to date through technological and legal watches.
In 2009, the experts invited to the Congress will be discussing the strategic aspects of their presence on the web, identity management and the ethical side of their profession, with personal data protection and its inevitable paradoxes.
The spotlight will shine on the new role of the information security officer, whose job is changing, now standing at the crossroads between business, risk management, and technical and legal aspects.
Finally, leisure time will let the information security officer add new contacts to his network and enjoy privileged access to major players in the security world
